03/20/10 - Co.36 would like to thank Co.20 - Summerdale and Co.23 - Upper Allen for covering our engine and truck during our banquet.

 

03/17/10 - Engine crew removes the driver's door of an MVA to extricate the patient.  Utilities were notified of the fractured pole.

 

02/15/10 - Crews handle a chimney fire with no extension into the house.  Chained the chimney and then units were placed in service.

 

 

01/29/10 - While returning from another call MP-36 arrived on the scene first to find a working mobile home fire.  All occupants were out except the dog.  Crews extinguished the fire and performed overhaul.

 

 

01/11/10 - Brush 236 and personnel assist Adams County company 7 with a house fire on Bear Mountain.  

 

01/05/10 - Co.36 and Co.41 extinguished a working van fire next to a building.  There was no extension into the building.  Engine 236 supplied water to Engine 241.

 

01/04/10 - Investigation of a carbon monoxide alarm activation.

 

 

09/22/09 - This van crashed up onto the guide pole wires on the Holly Pike.  Chief 36 arrived to find the operator uninjured, however the van was teetering on the wires and he couldn't get out.  After stabilizing the van, the driver climbed out onto a little giant ladder and was checked out by EMS.

 

 

09/19/09 - FD arrived to find a working car fire.

 

09/08/09 - Co.36 assisted on a two alarm house fire on James Road.

 

09/01/09 - The truck crew assisted on a working restaurant fire in Adams County.  When they arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire coming from the rear of the structure.  The truck crew ventilated the windows and the roof.  Also investigated and extinguished the fire extending into the 2nd floor.

 

08/11/09 - Co.35, 36, 25, 41, & 39 were sent for a tree into the house.  The box was held to the engine companies and Cave-in 40 was requested to the scene.  FD assisted with salvage operations and lighting after the power was cut.  Once Co.40 arrived, the units remaining on the scene assisted with shoring up the bedroom under the tree.

 

 

07/29/09 - Multiple companies were sent for a house fire in Penn Twp.  When units arrived, there was fire coming from side A, near the front door.  The residence was a renovated mobile home with additions over it.  The fire ran in the space between the roof and the old roof of the mobile home underneath it.  Extra man power was needed for extensive over haul.

 

 

07/25/09 - Co.36 assisted on an auto accident with entrapment on Pine Road.  The patient was extricated and treated by EMS.

 

07/23/09 - Co.36 assisted on a Mercury spill at the physician's office.  A wall mounted blood pressure cuff had been broken, leaking the Mercury out of it.

 

07/22/09 - Co.36 responded to assist Carlisle units with a fire at Trickett Hall that is being renovated.  Crews assisted on the roof with checking for fire extension and some overhaul work.

 

 

07/19/09 - Auto accident on Mill Street.  The vehicle left the roadway, crashed through the fence of the ball field, and stopped around the first base area.  The operator had minor injuries.

 

 

07/14/09 - Company was sent for a brush fire on Fanus Road that was accidentally started.  Brush 136 was used to extinguish the fire.  However, we returned later for a tree fire.  Note the dead tree in the middle of the third picture is not burning.  Upon our return it was and also had to be extinguished.

 

07/09/09 - Co.36 did a stand by for PSP.  A grenade was found in a residence and they were unsure if it was live or not.  FD remained on the scene until PSP could determine if it could explode or not.

 

06/30/09 - Auto accident on Carlisle Road.  Car was over turned and also destroyed a utility pole.

 

06/30/09 - Company was dispatched for a tractor fire.  Arrived to find a working tractor fire in the field.  Box was held to Co.36 for extinguishment.  The tractor operator was uninjured.

 

 

06/23/09 - Company was dispatched for an MVA with entrapment on West Old York Road.  Arrived to find a car vs a tractor-trailer.  The operator of the car was not entrapped as the tractor-trailer removed most of the driver's door.  Rescue 40 assisted with packaging the patient while Engine 236 assessed the tractor-trailer.

 

 

06/14/09 - Engine crew assisted EMS with a motorcycle accident on Mill Street.

 

06/12/09 - Engine 236 was transferring to Co.40 when they were requested to assist on a house fire in Plainfield.  The engine crew assisted with fire suppression, salvage, and over haul.
